I know this is probably a silly question, but when you are applying for residency positions at the end of MS-3 or whenever it is, do the residency programs ask for your college transcript?

I always thought they didn't and just looked at your med school grades, step 1 scores, dean letter, and other things all based on your med school performance and not your college performance. Anyone know? Do your college grades matter anymore once you've been accepted to a medical school? Thanks!

No they don't. If you go to the eras site you can see what's on the deans letter and eras.

Agreed. Finished the process a couple months ago; the only thing from undergrad that came up was my specific degree and that only came up because it wasn't a degree that traditionally leads to medical school (it only benefited me, made me more unique).

Grades don't matter too much just pass your classes. Read your acceptance materials to clarify any conditions that your acceptance is conditional upon.

Also if you are in the running for Latin Honors you might want to keep working hard, but aside from that it doesn't really matter.

On the competitive residencies like Ortho and ENT, in the publishings I have looked at, it seems they do have college grades as criteria. It says they count towards your admission, but not by much. They always seem to be listed on the bottom of the list of importance.
