colleges attended

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes, you are required to report any school attended for AACOMAS. I have no clue what the process is but I'm sure it wouldn't be all that difficult to find out what schools you attended.

do we have to list all schools? i know for md apps we do, but not too sure about DO. and would they know if we don't even list them under schools attended?
Yes and not doing so could get you kicked out at any point if they found out, even during residency. It's easy to find out what schools you've attended, especially if you've gotten financial assistance.

So are you really asking in a public forum if it's ok to lie on ur med school app? Schools have figured out who posters are on sdn as well.

Not asking to lie...just asking if we have to. It doesn't really matter to me if I include its just more work to make sure the transcripts get there because I've tried sending in transcripts for one of my schools three times and it still hasn't worked and its because they are having trouble with their transcript service. If I didn't have to worry about it I could've gotten my app in a month earlier. Rather than assume the worst in ppl you could either answer the question or just keep your bad thoughts to yourself.

Perhaps I misinterpreted the "would they even know" part of your comment. You should use that line during an interview when they ask an ethics question. But hey if you meant nothing by it then great, my bad.

Yes it is more work but unless the app has changed from last year they pretty clearly say all transcripts from all schools with college level coursework.

This is a very stressful process. It can make or break you. Do not respond to the stress negatively. Everyone here wants to help in way or another. Posts like this always lead to a bad place. Rule of thumb: always be honest. Also, it is still relatively early in this cycle. Do your best to stay realistic, honest and positive.

The federal government requires every school to report the transcripts and aid forms back to the government. Schools have access to this database and will check it against your medical school profile to see if there are any inconsistencies. You cannot lie on here.
