hi everyone,
i interviewed at columbia a while back, and i thought it went well, but i haven't gotten a call from them. i'm wondering if i'm not that high on their rank list, or they're one of the programs that just doesn't call. has anyone gotten a call from them? did anyone match there who didn't get a call?

thanks!

hi all--

i'm from chicago; also interviewed at Columbia this winter. I haven't gotten a call but i did recently receive a list of resident contact info. Does that mean anything? Has anyone gotten/not gotten this info? Perhaps it is because I mentioned it during one of my interviews...

They called me relatively late when I applied last year, i.e. after they finished their interviews.

I interviewed in December and I also recently received the list of residents' contact info. In addition, I sent a letter of interest to the PD and received a very nice, but non-commital response a few weeks ago. I have heard that they are pretty reserved when it comes to commenting on how/if they will rank you. But I would love to hear other people's experiences, especially anyone that matched there.

They'll let you know if they like you, but they won't make any comments about ranking you, etc.

During the year I applied (I'm now PGY3) they did contact some people from my med school they liked, and those people did end up matching there. I don't remember how explicit the communication was, though.

i also received the list of contact info from the chief resident. i guess they're just not calling people yet.

Since people were wondering, I know a couple people who have received calls from Columbia at my school. I guess they've started calling. I haven't heard from them though

thanks for everyone's replies.
