I had an awesome interview experience. Both of the Deans are awesome guys and they really make you feel at home. You only have one interview and I believe mine was about 30-45 min long. They ask very typical questions and really are there just to get to know you better. I had a great interviewer, but I know some people during my interview session that got grilled. It is basically just like any other interview- it comes down to who your interviewer is. Goodluck!

I have an interview coming up at Columbia and was hoping those that already had interviews could share what the experience was like.

thanks for the information 👍

I see you got into UNC, congrads really good school I applied there out of state so the odds are WAYYYYY against me. But its a really awesome spot

Thanks. Yeah, I guess UNC is pretty tough on out-of-stater's. Hopefully you'll get a nice call around Valentine's Day with some good news. Don't be worried about Columbia's interview...it is pretty laid-back. I think the Interview Feedback on this site is pretty comparable to what you will experience there. You'll have a great time during your interview....let us know how it went. Goodluck again.

I interviewed there in september. It was definitely one of my most relaxed interviews. My interviewer was really nice. He had my file open in front of him and flipped through it and asked me questions. It was very conversational, which was nice. Be sure to freshen up on your application and be prepared to answer any questions about any weaknesses you may have in your application.

They give you breakfast...have a talk from the deans about the school...have one ~30 minute interview...have a talk with someone from financial aid...talk with some D3s during lunch...take a tour of the facilities. The interview day was little unorganized for me. We waited for like an hour or so as they took people back for interviews and the tour was really haphazard...we couldn't hear the ortho student giving the tour...and he'd just tell us to go roam around the clinic and ask the students questions, but most of them were working on patients and looked busy. It was a little awkward.

my interview was also relaxed..have you been accepted anywhere else? columbia loves high DAT so you should have a good shot
