Hey, does anyone have any idea as to whether or not Columbia is filled? I'm hearing from others the general consensus is the class is filled 😡 😱 🙁 . I'm hoping to get off the waitlist and end this agony once and for all. I'm still optimistic that atleast one spot should open up in a week. Well congrats to all you other Columbianites and hopefully I'll be joining you in the fall once I get off this dreaded waitlist.

i'm going to be withdrawing pretty soon, so i one spot will definitely be opening up. enjoy columbia...i still really love it.

God Bless You my friend! Once I get in, I owe you big for this, enjoy whichever school you chose! 🙂

I am also curious about this.

Has anyone been accepted in the month of April to Columbia?

How about it march? has anyone been accepted to Columbia in March or April?

Check predents, somebody was accepted on Mar 30th and the class was open at that time, but hopefully more spots will free up this week. Thanks again to Americano for being so considerate to us waitlistees.

For the rest of you in Americano's situation, doing the right thing will be very much appreciated by us fellow Columbia waitlistees, & our chances increase more 🙂

Is there anyone else on the Columbia waitlist? if so, come on, let's unite.

There will be waitlist movement in the upcoming months. Many people hold on to multiple acceptances until May 1, when second deposits are due. Final decisions must be made, so schools will have students forfeit their seats. Just be patient and don't be surprised if you get a letter come late May or June.

Thanks so much man, most people with tons of acceptances, although I'm happy for them have no idea what its like to suffer for months on a waitlist for two years in a row with no acceptances, misunderstandings from family who are familiar with waitlists and mean well, while worrying I won't even get into dental school this year, but don't understand the nuances of this application process. I'm sure if those people getting all the love and no rejections, etc, were in our situation, I'm sure they would feel the same, wouldn't they?, but myself & the other waitlistees are staying positive and fighting the good fight. Just so long as everybody is comfortable where they're going, its all good! Thanks again for the reassurance man!

Yup, after May 1st, there should definitely be a few letters being sent out.

Come on people with multiple acceptances, stop holding those offers!!!

Just an FYI, there's always constant shuffling with the accepted students/waitlisted students. There will always be people saying they're coming to Columbia but changing their minds in May...so there is always hope! There was 1 classmate of mine who didn't even get his acceptance (off of waitlist) until 2 weeks before school started!

Just curious if anyone got off the waitlist recently...and also has anyone called to ask about the waitlist? No body picks up every time I called.

Hey, yup. I was one of the people that got accepted in the first few days of May.

A lot of spots opened up May 1st, and they were all filled up within a few days after.

My guess is that probably 5-10 people will switch schools between now and September, so if you are on the waitlist for any dental school, you may have to wait months for an acceptance.

Reapply May 15, in case things don't work out.

congrats on the acceptance! Did you receive the acceptance by mail?

Hey I also got off the waitlist early May - I got a phone call followed by a packet in the mail.

How many days after the phone call did you receive the packet? Suppose you were overseas that day and they only got your voicemail, would you still have been accepted?

Thanks,
997 🙂

Hey, Yea, you get a call first telling you that your package is being sent out that day.

I live in a big city, so the package always arrives in 3-5 days from NYC.
