Columbia

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i'd say that that it's pretty fair to guestimate that columbia waitlists about 90% of those that don't get in after interview. i've only heard of 1 guy who received a postinterview rejection from there. now, columbia traditionally DOES take a lot from the waitlist (although last year frantz claimed that an unusually small number were taken from it), but with a waitlist so big, it's nothing to hold your breath over.

frantz' feedback can't be a bad thing, though.

He told me that I am "exactly what Columbia's looking for" and that he did not see "much of a problem for me." I'll believe it only in writing.

Word on the street: he likes the Ivy League pedigree and also physical attractiveness-- I am not the only one who noticed that the class has a kind of Abercrombie look to it.

anyone know how to contact dean frantz for a thank you note? Or is it just through the admissions office?

Sucks for those of us who go to BU, loathe Abercrombie, and are ugly:laugh:

Tom

Yeah, you can just address it to the admissions office using his name, cause his office is right in the admissions office. 🙂

Yikes! Now I regret that rather lousy photo I sent them! I am not that lousy looking in real life 🙁 just nominally average - maybe my interviewer will write - looks far better in person - under it. I don't come from an Ivy either, guess that's two strikes. Darn.

I would never have gone to my interview if I knew that they were into Abercrombie there...

has anyone received an interview invite recently? the secretary said they conduct interviews into mid-March, even though they make a lot of decisions at the end of February...
