I didn't go through a combined program, but many of my classmates did. Personally I think it's a little hard to figure out what you want to do when you're 17 years old and applying for college. It does save on time though and you'll get to graduate really early, which makes wanting to spend a few more years specializing more attractive. However, you do miss out on some of the undergrad experience which I still think were some of the most interesting and exciting in my life.

my little sister is in one now, and she is certainly NOT going to have a life for the next three years....i definately didnt know what i wanted to do with my life at the age of 17,but if you do, then go for it.

University of Connecticut also has a combined dental degree program. I'm in it so if you have any questions about it i'd love to answer them.🙂
