Hello people !

i wonder if someone could help me and list to me a combined degree program for dentistry

i tried to google it but all the post was old ( 06 ~ 09 ) i found that Boston uni offer one
and i liked it. but i would be fool if i apply to one school only.

so hopefully someone help me and list the schools they know 🙂
also is it hard for international students to get in these programs ?

You'll have to define what combination you want. DMD/MPH, DMD/PhD, DMD/MBA??

I'm pretty sure NYU has that.
Thank you !!
Thanks !

keep em coming the more school i find the better 🙂 thanks guys

also i forgot to ask this in my thread.
about the interview that schools does, what is it like ? do they question you in chem, bio
and your background ? or do they ask about personal stuff ?
hope someone clear this thing up to me.

Thanks 🙂

University if Phoenix obviously... You can even get your DDS online while working full time

i'm international student. i don't think i can work.

still no answer about the interview & if it easy for international students to get in these programs.

Haha didn't realize, it was a joke though. University of Phoenix is an online school and does not have a dental school. University of the pacific is one of the more dental competitive schools to get into. I'm guessing if they have a 5 year BA/DDS program it is incredibly competitive.

oh LOL, i don't know any of those two. i googled Uop and those two came.

anyway can you help me with my 2 last questions ?
you are a pre-dental. you must be studying in some dentist school
can you tell me if its hard for international student to get in the schools ?
how many foreign student in your class ?

and about the scary interview, what do they ask me in it ?
do they question my education background ? ( just graduated high school )
or do they ask about personal stuff ?

Thanks !

Often combined programs are even more difficult to get into than traditional entry into dental school. It is very difficult for internationals to get into combined programs because you have to show that you can pay for the entire program (so the total cost of dental school plus private school for undergrad).

Worry about interviews if you get them. Your best bet is to make a list of schools and apply to them.

Also, this board on SDN is mostly people applying to dental schools in a traditional manner. If you're looking for information on programs to enter from high school, this site is a better bet:

Your government is willing to pay up to $500k-600k for a dentist who may or may not return to practice? Are you a Chinese princeling?

SDN has an interview feedback session. Nobody on this board really knows what they'll ask for high school entry programs. Consult College Discussion for that information.

University of the Pacific (UoP) offers a 2+3 DDS program ( you will not get an undergrad degree ). They also offer 3+3 BA/DDS (could get BS in this case also), and 4+3 BA/DDS programs. UoP does accept variety of international students and have international students in the predental program. It is very difficult to get into the 2+3, but 3+3/4+3 is relatively easier. However, the curriculum on the undergrad campus is very rigorous and you must stay above a certain gpa contract to be just guaranteed an interview.

Also NYU has a 7 year program and case western has a 6 year program

thanks ehdnwk you were helpful ! 🙂

its impossible that nobody in this forum went to one interview at least.
and what do you mean by " College Discussion " ? do you mean it as in
" there is forum in sdn called college discussion and i should ask about interview in there " ?
or what ?

also sorry if my question sound stupid 😀
