I was wondering if there were any new updates about the combined ACGME and AOA match. Previously, the date was set for 2015. Is that still happening?

Check the original ACGME/AOA merger thread. They talk about updates on there and docEspana seems to have a decent amount of info.

Last I heard, it may be postponed to 2018, but nothing is settled or official yet.

To sum up what he says in the video:

- Joint taskforces proposed to meet again later this Spring 2013.

- A meeting to discuss standards of GME accreditation and to determine similarities and differences between AOA and ACGME residencies, as well as discuss ways to resolve the latter, has been proposed to take place "probably" in April or May 2013.

- Once drafted, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be sent to both the ACGME Board and AACOM Board in early June, and to the AOA Board of Trustees in July. Special order of business for House of Delegates at annual meeting in July.
