Does anybody know how good are these combined residencies in this case, IM-EM? Is it competitive?

They are pretty good
Here is a list of programs from Saem.org

Generally they are less competetive than straight EM, also there is the option of EM/IM/Critical care which I think is 7 years.. Very academic.. Of those there is one at Henry Ford and one at Pitt thats it for the 3x program..
