COMLEX and FA/Savarese

Okay. I'm panicked because so far in my board review I have only really worked my way completely through Micro and Immuno for my board review, with a brief biochem review thrown in. My situation is that I have the Craplex scheduled for June 28th and the Step scheduled for July 28th.

If I ditch the supplemental sources I have been using, can I still do well if I use FA and Savarese for the COMLEX, maybe with Goljan if I have the extra time? I would like to get a 600 obviously on the COMLEX but I'm not sure if that is possible at this time, and I'll take doing better on my Step in the future because I'll probably have to do an allopathic residency for various reasons.

I have a much better feel for what will be on both tests. I'm hoping FA will be enough to get me through the COMLEX without OPP because of what everyone has been saying about it being a recall test (I'm already done MMRR).

What do y'all think, feel free to flame if needed, I'm tired and this question has probably been asked before.

I would maybe pick up a path resource other than FA. I used FA, Kaplan OMM (Savarese wrote it as well), BRS Pathology, and some supplemental pharm cards to pound the names of the drugs into my head. However, everything on the pharm cards were also in FA -- I just needed some other way to beat them into my head. I studied hard for about 16 days and felt adequately prepared (I took my COMLEX two days ago).

from what I hear (talking to my buddies who took it the in past couple days/weeks)...I take it in about a week.

know chapter 2 (Simmons)...KNOW CHAPTER 2 OF STEVEN L. SIMMONS
CHAPTER 2 CHAPTER 2 CHAPTER 2(haha)
pick temporal bone if they ask you a question about which cranial bone
Dubin EKG Vol. VI...everyone has it. Look at last pages (overall summary). supposedly FA's are not enough detail
Know Sacral Dx (whatever chapter that is in simmons)

yes saverese and firstaid are all you really need.
