I just had my latest stress breakdown after scoring 35% on qbank on 3 tests, plus getting 10/30 on comlex qbook (maybe i had a bad day)

Before that, I was averaging in the 55% on qbank

October looks really good right now!

as for qbook i wouldnt worry about it for two reasons:1. they are a lot more detailed than qbank... and 2. the answers are sometimes not in the kaplan books, so you should learn them
an example of this that i ran into which frustrated me was in micro they asked what cancer is Shistosoma haemolytica (sp?) associated with. I knew th is to be bladder cancer, often in egypt... the answers were
a) ademocarcinoma of the bladder
b)squamous cell ca of bladder
c) transitional cell ca of bladder

answer is squamous...but i rechecked and i didnt see this in the micro section...so just learn from the questions

I second point of getting tired and frustrated with this whole week and a half. I had a similar day with low scores.

a Quick question:
If i do end up below the golden passing line, and have to take the exam again in october, then does it affect my going to base hospital?
Please shed some light on this matter.
Thanks

Don't think so. You won't get your scores until August. I know my school (NSUCOM) started rotations in July... we were near the end of our second rotation when we got the scores. Not sure abou all the DO schools.

And about the cold feet... man I was so nervous for the COMLEX! I went here and got NO love about what it was like or waht tos tudy for... but, that's ok. Almost EVERYONE in your class is in the same shoes as you. No one has taken a medical licensing exam before, no one has sat and done 800 COMLEX questions before, everyone has the same pressures that you do to score well. Just make sure you give yourself some time for a pizza or beer (or two) to take some edge off. Atleast once a week. Go see a movie... otehrwise honestly you rbrain will be tired of studying.

Q, DO

quinn is right. At least here at Nova they will pull you out of your rotations if for some reason you fail the exam. Starting in august when the results come back, they make you study for a month and you have to use your vacation month later on to make up for the rotation month that you missed studying. that way if nothing else goes wrong, you will graduate with your class. the only other time they let anyone make up a rotation during vaction time is if you are in the army ,navy etc.

at nova ,they started a rule this year that you have to take comlex when you become eligible..is that a rule at the other schools. in years past we had students that would wait till the october test, but now we are not allowed.
