Hello All:

I have just started my clinical rotations and I was wondering when to think about scheduling my COMLEX II... The only advice I have found so far is to get it over with before interview season begins. Any other hints/tips/ideas ?

I'm assuming starting 4th year rotations now? Did you guys in Erie get any time off for board review before 4th year rotations started?

Do you have a vacation month coming up? Personally I'd like to get it over with sooner rather than later. This year we had about 3-4weeks off between 3rd and 4th year for a practice board exam and then board review if we so choose, so most took the month off to study on their own and take Step 2 before starting back on rotations. The year ahead of us down here did not get that so from the ones I talked to they just tried to schedule it at the end of a laid back, "easy" rotation so they could get some studying done.

If you have an medicine or OBGYN or peds rotation before taking the COMLEX it can help somewhat. Otherwise just take some time to study with questions and review books. Some rotations help give you the big picture
