HI

I have a really dumb question considering im taking the comlex level 1 in a couple of weeks. I still dont know the new format for the test, computer based. Can someone please tell me if it is liek the USMLE with 50 question blocks for one hour etc. I couldnt find it on the nbome website. thanks allot

Straight from the NBOME site...

Following the 240 minutes (4 hours) allotted for the four sections of the AM test session, all candidates will be given a mandatory 40-minute break. The test time will stop and candidates will be required to leave the testing area for the break period. A message will indicate the total number of minutes until the PM test session begins. The PM test session will begin promptly 40 minutes after the scheduled end time of the AM test session. Candidates who finish early will have the remaining AM test session time added to the mandatory 40-minute break. No candidate may begin the PM test session prior to the scheduled start time. If you complete the AM test session in less than the allotted time, the candidate's break time will be longer; the candidate will NOT be allowed to begin the PM test session early.

That's funny- I looked at this website: http://www.nbome.org/CBT2/cbe_intro.htm
and it says what you said. But then if you look at the www.nbome.org it says:
d) The lunch break is now optional. The time permitted for the lunch break is 40 minutes, and this time does not count against the total exam time. The lunch break begins when the morning exam session is completed.

e) The afternoon exam session will begin once the 40 minutes given for the lunch break have passed. Candidates must return to the test center promptly by the end of the lunch break to avoid losing any time for the afternoon exam session.

It makes no mention about adding the extra time if you finish early. Any one out there who took it today have any input?

well at least the NBOME has their stuff together...

seriously though I think the second link (and nicedream's comment) is probably more accurate now that I saw that page. I am assuming that the nbome.org page is the most up to date and what's in the tutorial is probably old news. Thanks for posting this!
