Its pretty much a toss-up. You cant rely on 'most commons' as much as you might think. Odd bugs live in odd places and cause odd infections (and look odd on gram staining) and you will see the same injury repeated over and over and over...mainly, you just have to keep your wits about you and not go through 120 questions and just mentally close up shop. Try and stay focused through the whole booklet, and let it carry over through the entire 2 days. Some of the questions are ridiculous, but some are very easy. Some are so absurd (treatment of choice for Cryptosporidium, Isospora, and Cyclospora) that most people have never even paid them any mind. When I finished the test, I figured I had gotten about 85% right...still not sure if that was over or underestimated. On this test it truly helps to know as much as you can about as much as you can. Absolutely owning one particulr subject will only help you as far as Micro, OMM, Path and Pharm can take you...for the other 30-40% of questions, you have to have sick knowledge of really random stuff.
