I've got 9 more study days left. I am 83% done with DIT, but only 20% done with UWorld. I have a fairly weak knowledge base, and am hoping for a 220. In those 9 days, I would like to: finish DIT, finish UW (with full annotations), re-do Pathoma (been through it once along with classes, took extensive notes then), and reread FA. Obviously, all of those things are not going to happen.

I feel like my biggest issue right now is lack of repitition. DIT's review questions and UW drive me nuts, because I know what they're asking, but I can't for the life of me remember the specifics of the disease/mechanism/whatever. The second I look the info up in FA, it all comes back to me, but I am still not at the point of coming up with these little details on my own. How should I prioritize what little time I have left? I would love to have another week, but that's not possible, sadly.

Does anyone have an advice for me? Or a time machine, perhaps? I'll take whatever I can get.

Yea...I am in the freak-out mode as well...Have my test in 3 days!..

If I were you, I would do 5 blocks of Uworld starting 6am then 2 sections in FA. I would loose all other sources. For next nine days, focus on FA and Uworld especially if you are having hard time associating. Association only comes by practice.

Good luck!

4 days left for me. Understand for sure, wish I had done more board prep during the school year. Only now finally feeling comfortable about the test. But you are where you are now, and I'm sure you're not the first person. Obviously this is coming from someone else who hasn't taken the test yet but at this point I think FA and Uworld are going to be your best tools. It seems like you already know that you spread yourself thin trying to do the different resources. Need to get some repetition in.

Any practice test scores? Don't want to go into the test not having taken official practice test, just so you know where you stand. I would go with the others, ditch DIT and concentrate on basic FA/Uworld for now. Good luck!

how much time did you have to study?

DIT is a BIG WASTE OF TIME.

considering that you have a weak knowledge base, i would suggest trying to get through more of uworld. In your case I think it would be best NOT to do random blocks of uworld, I would suggest focusing on one subject at a time (e.g., do a 46 block of cardiac pathology all @ once, or maybe even split up all of your cardiac path into 2-3 blocks & do them over 2-3 days consecutively. I think you really need the built in repetition to strengthen your knowledge.

the reason DIT is a load of crap is that he BLAZES through the material, & unless you already know all of the material, after 2 days of watching it, you're not going to be able to recall/answer questions on anything on the first day lol for weaker subjects you needed to learn slowly & take your time. so if you're just hoping to finish 100% DIT & thinking that its going to help you answer quesitons, its really not.

also focus on pathology/pharm/micro. for the other subjects, just find the high yield topics & make sure you know them well (lysosomal storage diseases, brachial plexus, most of neuro is high yield)

I don't think I really have a practice test that gives an accurate assessment. I did one 1.5 weeks ago, but I did it at night after doing 3 UW sections that day, so I kind of crapped out and stopped really reading some of the questions about half way through. I got a 190 on it. I had a 180 from the CBSE taken on the last day of school. That was 4.5 weeks ago, so I've been studying since then. (I read FA once as well as HY Neuro in the first week, before my DIT started.)

At this point, I'm a little hesitant to spend another study day on a practice test. I feel so behind already, I think it'll freak me out even more.

I'm currently at a 53% overall in UWorld, but that's after only doing 27% of the questions (random, untimed so far, but I like the suggestion above to start doing systems based). I apparently underestimated in the original post about how much UW I've finished.

I should also add that only 2 of my UW sections have been done in the last 2 weeks, since I've been trying to hammer through DIT. So, I'm hoping that some score improvement might have happened there since then too.

With only 9 days left I would really consider pushing DIT to the back burner. Spend the next few days doing UWORLD and the last few days doing UWORLD / FA. Make sure that you do at least a few sections of UWORLD timed cause you do not want to run out of time during the test

ok people relax! the few days before your exam you should be building confidence... review material you dont know well ~4-5 days out. <4 days out, review your strengths. it'll be a nice refresher and confidence builder!

I wouldnt take full length NBMEs <6 days before your exam

So are there no dissenters that think I should still try to squeeze Pathoma in as well? I feel like that's my security blanket...🙁

Thank you for all of the help so far. DIT's off the table for now...

it took me 6-7 days to do all of pathoma + qbank questions for each corresponding subject. you decide Lol. If you decide to watch pathoma, you NEED to do problems along with it. Watching lectures & not practicing w/ problems is a bad bad idea. Considering you only have 9 days, i think pick the lectures in pathoma that are your weakest areas & hammer those in.

Do nbme practice test, and study your weak subject and do lot of questions.
