If you have all of your letters of recommendation (from science professors, dentist, employer) sent to the committee at your school, will they attach all of the letters to the one committee letter?

In which case, should we still have all of our recommenders send their individual letters to AADSAS as well?

Not sure if this is the same everywhere. But at my school, I submitted 5 LORs to the committee, and they will quote these letters in the committee letter. They will NOT send copies of the single LORs.

I would not send in copies either because they will be mentioned in the committee letter. Most schools accept a committee letter in lieu of all other LORs so sending in single copies would be both redundant and excessive. Think of it this way, the committee letter is like squeezing 25 LORs into one nice package!

Your best bet would be to call your pre-health advisor or committee chair and ask directly.

If you have a one letter from a pre-professional comittee, that should suffice for all the required letters.

Ok,

So one nice package...however, what if we have really good letters of recommendation? How do we know the committee will include all the great stuff we have written about us and not short change us?

Personally, I'd feel better if the schools could read what each individual had to say specifically about me rather than leave it up to a couple of dudes bogged down with tons of letters and summarizing it all...don't ya think? Maybe it shouldn't be that big of a concern.

This is F** up, since if you have 5 letters, some of them you know for sure it is good but some is not.
SO you can sent the good ones to some school, and sent good ones and bad ones to school only if they are required.

well, it is your application. i think a committee letter just simplifies everything. however, if you wish to have them all sent instead of a committee letter, just talk to your advisor and i imagine they will accommodate you.
