I have asked this question to specific schools but no response yet! They are probably busy with interviews/ acceptance... So hopefully someone here can help me?
For the dental school like Boston and Tufts that don't accept community college credits, will they include include this gpa in prereqs or overall gpa calculations, even though they don't accept it?

I'm almost certain you'll have to get answers directly from the school. Did you take all the science pre-reqs at a 4 year school?

Schools can certainly do whatever their collective hearts desire, however, it is unlikely that in the gpa calculation any courses on a transcript will be ignored.

As I said, I have tried to contact the schools but no answers 🙂 I did take some of my science pre-reqs at a 4 year and some at a cc. I just wanted to clarify if those courses are not accepted will they still include it in gpa calculations. Thanks for the reply though!

Not sure if they actually include your CC GPA into "number calculations", but I do remember from this conversation with the head dean at VCU School of Dentistry. He said they do take our CC grades into consideration, but not sure if they actually combine them to calculate the GPA.
I have the same situation as you. I have Gen. Bio and Gen. Chem from CC and organic chem/physics/biochem from 4 year.

Yes, it seems like we are in the same situation! What am I thinking is if they say they won't accept CC credits then they won't include it in the GPA calculations. I could be wrong. I am still waiting to hear back from some schools.

if they dont take it as pre-req, you will not get anything out of those credits. they dont count at all as if you never had them. Thats how I think

The schools get your GPA from AADSAS (the application) which automatically includes CC grades into your GPA. However, it also shows your GPA by school, so perhaps the school may only go by the non-CC GPA.
