Hello all,
I'm not sure if anyone has also found themselves in this situation, but any thoughts would be helpful. I'm graduating undergrad this Spring, and will have a gap year as I reapply to Dental Schools. (3.26 gpa, 18 AA; retaking the DAT in May). I'm planning on working for the year (Have another thread on that subject), and I also have planned on taking 6sh of community college classes (likely online), both in the coming Fall and next Spring.
The reason for this is solely because in order to have my student loans deferred until after Dental School, I have to at least a half time student until I'm all done with school. And I chose community college because it's very cheap & close to home. My question is - will this negativley impact my applications to Dental School? I'm sure taking CC classes isn't usual after a Bachelors, but due to finances, I can't just stay at my four year another year & then also deal with Dental School loans. For anyone who has CC credits towards Dental School - did any schools ask you about them? I've taken summer CC classes at this school before but not for prereqs or my major. Thanks for any input.
