Hello there. I am sophomore at a community college. By spring 09, i will be finished with gchem, ochem, biochem, half of my bio series, no physics and no math. My Ogpa is 3.7 science at 3.55.

1) I believe bc i have not yet transferred to a university it is ok to take as much prereqs possible b4 i transfer. bc they are a bit easier at cc level. But will dental school look at me differently as opposed to those who have taken prereqs at university level? if I do well on my DAT's will that cancel any thought of "oh he went to CC?"

2) i am an anthropology art not science major. is it a sufficient enough major for dental school

3) i plan to take 2 biology classes at UCLA next Fall + 3 physics classes. Is that enough science class at a university?

4)i hear they are going to be putting physics on the DAT's??!?!?!?!?!?!?

5)i need some research. Does anybody have a place they can refer me to in los angeles cali?

6) its 4 years of dental school? then how does it work for specialty. WHo can get in ? 4 university +4 dental School + 2 specialty. Thats it?

Ok. so problem
1) My choices for letters of rec at university are limited now?

2 bio classes, 3 physics classes = 5 science classes at UCla. Dont you think that would be enough?

Hey all,

im currently a third year cc student with a science GPA of 4.0 and i will end up taking all my dental pre-reqs (except biochem) at the CC. Im transferring to UC Santa Barbara in the fall 2009 and hope to apply for fall 2010 dental admission to UCSF. Do you think this is a good idea, given i do well on the DATs and shadow this coming summer??
