Hey guys,

I am a new graduate who has been practicing in a small community pharmacy for about 3 months now. My main concern when I go to work is catching interactions... There are so many out there... I know most of the basic interactions, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed thinking of not catching minor interactions... do you guys rely on your computer system to catch them for you? In real need of what works practically, especially in a busy pharmacy.

I feel like theres a big expectation that we should know every single drug interaction...

Rely on the computer. If anyone asks about interactions (with OTCs or whatnot) make sure you can check with a smartphone app or something and not go based on free recall. There will be BSPharms posting when they wake up at 4:30 am to await their hardcopy print newspaper delivery who say they know every drug interaction because "...back in my day..." but you can ignore them.
