To all pod students: What was your outlook/frame of mind going into podiatry school? How has the 1,2,3,4 years you have been in changed it. What have you learned? Do you feel like you have changed?

Before: I thought I will only learn about the feet

After 3 years: I have learned about everything else but the feet (except some lower extremity anatomy and some biomechanic facts).

I guess on the bright side I know my internal med, path, pharm and can workup a patient as good as any other MD/DO student.

This is especially true for DO/DPM integrated schools, you learn side by side with the students, and the knowledge base is the same.

On a side note, you've been starting generic threads on podiatry for a while now, and that's great, but I feel like you need to shadow some podiatrists if you still don't have the answers you are looking for.
