Hey guys. Who do you guys think is a better candidate if all else is equal except for GPA and DAT? Student A with overall GPA 3.9/Science GPA 3.9 with 20/20/20 or Student B with Overall GPA 3.6/Science 3.6 with 22/24/19 both coming from same schools.

Person A by far.

I agree probably equal. If I were an ADCOM member though, I would probably take the 3.6 with great DAT scores... but I'm not on such a committee, so who cares what I think? 😉

The stats are comparative, so it's hard to base it just off the numbers without looking at dental experience and EC's. As a side note though, I might expect someone with a 3.9sgpa/3.9cgpa to have the 22AA 24TS though.......although 20/20/20 is nothing to cry about.

if I was in Admission committee, and I saw these two applicants. i would invite both of them for interview and made my decsion based on interview( I am taiking IVY schools admission 😀 otherwise both are good for over 90 percent of dental schools)
