The friends I've made in dental school are starting to distance themselves… Is that the price you pay for making better grades?

I wouldn't say that's an absolute as I've become really good friends with several of my classmates, despite variations in grades and abilities. Then again I don't broadcast my scores and accomplishments because I want to avoid as many hard feelings as possible - not because I'm earning the top grade but it's just good manners.
