As for your question, if you haven't taken it yet, just aim for the highest score you can get. It's hard to set a mid-range target score and try to do the minimum to achieve that; better to push for the highest score you are capable of and make the best of that.

220, average score in 2007 was around a 217. So a 220+ will put you in good shape.

The Charting Outcomes PDF gives great estimates for what kind of scores are necessary for each field on average but can anyone speak to the scores needed in X specialty for the top programs? Would all top programs need 240+s?
