Is there a general list of the the competiveness of each SMP program? Almost all have min requirement of 3.0 GPA, but I emailed them - even the most competitive - and they say that lower GPAs are acceptable with upward trend, good rest of application.

My application is this: 2.76 cum undergrad GPA, upward trend junior/senior year/post bacc up to 3.33. Overall GPA now is ~2.9. MCAT 33M (woot!) Lots of clinical, volunteer, good LOR's, etc.

This is my plan for now...
Applied to:
Marshall University
EVMS (
Boston Univ. (said they'd take <3.0)

In the process for:
Tufts (said they'd take <3.0)
Georgetown (will take < 3.0)
Cincinnati (will take <3.0)
Drexel (will take <3.0)

Does this sound like a reasonable list? Recommendations would be helpful!!

Granted, they probably just say that they will take less than a 3.0 depending on the rest of your app, get your application fee, and still fill their slots easily with >3.0. But at least they look at each application. Thanks!

It'll be tough, but you have a chance. I don't know if you have much chance at a place like Georgetown though.
