If it's used on a school-specific thread, it means that they completed their secondary and/or received confirmation that their application is under review as of that date.

It's pretty uncommon for an applicant to have a single complete date for all the schools they applied since schools release their secondaries with varying timelines.

When people on SDN say "I was complete in...October," does that mean they were complete for that school in October, or completed all secondaries in October? It's misleading because you would be "complete" at some schools in August and not complete at ALL schools until October or November, really. Thanks for the clarification.

The interpretation depends on the context. Besides what Siromas responded, it is not unusual on SDN for posters to use this written "shortcut" when conveying that they were Complete at all their schools by a certain date, even though they were complete at some schools in the months earlier than that.

It would be less common that anyone has all their Secondaries submitted in a single month.

When they say they were complete on x date, they’re referring to that one school (in the school-sprecific threads, for instance).
