I wanted to know what is tested on the COMPLEX and USMLE? Do either exams have a verbal section or are we just tested on science topics? What happens if a DO student takes the USMLE, because I have heard we have that option. Please fill me in on this. Also, does anyone know what year of medical school we get the title D.O.? Thanks in advance!

1. It is the COMLEX. There is no such thing as a COMPLEX.

2. No verbal section.

3. You may take the USMLE, but you are REQUIRED to take the COMLEX steps I & II.

4. Just like any other program, bachelor's, master's, Ph.D., you recieve your doctorate title when you graduate medical school. So the end of year 4, at the commencement ceremony.
