I would like some feedback from attendings or PDs. My program offered me a composite SLOR if I so chose and I was wondering how that will be viewed. I like the idea because the composite SLOR takes into account resident's opinions as well as multiple attending's opinion, somehow, in my skewed mind that sounds good vs. only one opinion😕. Please feel free to harpoon my misconception.

The reason why I would like to entertain the idea of a composite SLOR vs a single attending SLOR is because the program is large and I only worked once with each attending, hard to get a good solid SLOR like that.

Being on this end of it I appreciate the composite SLOR.

I think programs are moving to a composite SLOR. It gives a better overall picture and is definitely more useful than letters from less well known physicians.

Why not both? My program offers a department letter and I got two other SLORs from attendings I worked with.
