Has anyone ever experienced computer error with your score when you took the DAT? Please please do let me know if this happened to you. Thanks.

The first time I took the DAT the computer crashed on me during my reading comprehension portion and an error message kept popping up on the screen every few minutes afterwards. I asked the people working there what could be done and they said nothing and shrugged it off. 😡

Wow, I'd be livid.

Really? I'm sorry to hear that and I hope you did better the second time around.

My sister just took her test and the scores were nothing like the scores from all of her practice tests. I mean it is just 1 or 2 points lower...it is significantly lower, that's why we're wondering if there is an error in grading (i.e. The lady at the front would select the form of the test to match up with the form KEY and "click" submit for the computer to grade). Or how do they grade the test, does anyone know? I don't know we are trying to come up with the possible scenario. Thanks.

I think the tests are scored immediatley by the prometric software. No human involvement in the scoring because then someone could alter the results.

Yeah, I think the scoring is all automated. All I remember from mine is the lady at the check-out desk pulling up and printing my scores. I didn't see her do anything involving the grading process. How much lower did your sister score than expected? If she really happened to have been graded on a different key, assuming 25%ish right by pure chance, she would have to have gotten 10-13 across the board.

I'm sorry but practices scores are not good indicators of actual scores...

With the automatic computer calculating the scores, how would anyone be able to tell if there was an error in grading.
