Instead of having 2 dates a year spring and fall to take the MCAT you could have as many as 20 dates per year. The test could also be shortened to about 5 hours.

For those of you planning to take the MCAT in 2007 or later, know this about the changes: they aren't a big deal. Mostly, the changes will make the MCAT more convenient for you:

The CBT will still be timed sections and the content will be identical to the paper exam. You simply complete the test on a computer rather than with a pencil on a bubble sheet.

CBT tests will be offered more frequently, perhaps up to 20 test dates per year as opposed to the 2 dates now.

You'll take the MCAT in a more comfortable setting…think "computer lab."

You'll get your MCAT scores faster - possibly in half the time.

Likely the test will be shorter, around 5 hours rather than the 8 hours the test is now.

To ensure the identity of the examinees, the MCAT examination will use a biometric identification system with electronic photos and fingerprints in place of a test taker's photograph and ink thumbprints. Electronic records will be used to identify previous or ineligible test takers. Medical schools will continue to receive a copy of these records to compare as they see fit with the applications of examinees who enroll."

scary as GMAT didn't have this.

I wonder why you can't have your score computed there either like GMAT? I was nice to walk out knowing your score.

Too bad I plan on taking it in April 👎 😡
