Concern about deferred adjudication

I have a question about the background checks that are done by the DO schools. I have a previous deferred adjudication for truancy(Yes it was a crime in Texas until last year) about 10 years ago. Under a new Texas law, it's supposed to have been expunged starting last year. Will this hurt me?

I bet not many applicants have that kind of criminal record. That was a truly idiotic law - in fact, much more destructive than the one that said you couldn’t own more than six dildos.
