Concerned about ECs (all over the place?)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think presentation wise it's scattered, but in a resume form it makes sense. Are there long time gaps between each thing?

List your ECs in resume form (either for yourself or someone to help you) and it honestly won't seem scattered at all. You're a student trying to find the best way to prepare for med school, they know that,

This doesn't really seem like a particularly unusual set of ECs. You have your volunteering, your research, 2 jobs, and some personal interest type of stuff (2 of which are basically the same area as one of the jobs and one of the volunteer efforts).

If anything, I would suggest adding a genuine hobby that you have (maybe that is the writing/editing project?) and some legit community service at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter or something. What did you actually do for the Red Cross if you never went anywhere? Office work?

I'd say your list of activities look pretty typical for a pre-med in terms of "scatteredness". You don't need to force anything, don't worry.

thanks for the replies! I did office work at the red cross, was a mentor for high school students, and volunteered at their food pantry!

Oh ok, great! Overall I think your EC list looks pretty solid. Don't see what you think is strange about it.
