Ok, so I need some advice. There are two issues that I have, and I can't stop thinking about them. When I was 18, I attended a school for 2-3 weeks. I withdrew from the school. I have all "W's" from the school. Do I have to include that school on the AMCAS application? If so, why? Next, I was discharged from the military. It was not Dishonorable. It was simply an uncharacterized (entry level separation). It was under honorable conditions. Anyhoo, do I need to state that I was in the military at all? I don't think that it even shows up on any of my records, unless the DoD was directly asked for service records. Even then, it would only state "Entry level separation". Thanks for the advice.

You have to include ALL transcripts. As long as you have a good excuse for withdrawing, it'll be fine. Also, if it were me, I wouldn't include the military part unless I planned on going back after I got my MD. But, to be honest, it would make me too nervous to omit that. Hmm..I don't know. I'm interested to see what others say.

i recall that there are specific questions on the applications that would elicit both of these pieces of information. if so, do NOT try to hide them.

whether to volunteer them is another story. if they come out, it will look like you tried to conceal them.

tough issues.

I am almost 100% certain that the military thing wouldn't come up on a simple background check. I donno... it's a hard issue. As far as the transcripts go, I read that there is a Transcript exemption form, or something along those lines. Perhaps when I apply, I will just attempt that first.

The WORST thing you can do is try to hide things like that. No one is going to give a negative fig if you withdrew from a school after 3 weeks. They might ask you why, but that's it.

I don't know much of anything about the military, and hope that I never need to. I won't give you any advice there except to never try to hide anything. The bite is a whole lot worse if they suspect you of deceit.
