Umm, I am writing my personal statement for the D.O. schools, but am essentially using the body I used for my amcas app. What should I incorporate into that statement? In the end, I did briefly mention how I was interested in the philosophy of osteopathic medicine, and that I would devote my fullest energies as a D.O. Any other suggestions?

From what I've been told, use the personal statement as a means of describing why you want to be a doctor and experiences you have had that would make you a good one. Then, when you get your secondaries from DO schools, explain your enthusiasm for the philosophy of osteopathy.

I used almost the same stuff as AMCAS, but I incorporated why DO.
