When you get email confirmation from dental schools, does it mean they have received supp materials and that my app is under review?

Or does it mean that they have just downloaded my ADDSAS application?

I'm not quite sure. Some schools sent me e-mail confirmations saying that they received my application, some request for additional information, some say that all has been received and will be reviewed.
