hi everyone! yesterday I was fortunate enough to receive two interview invites for two of my favorite programs. school A has a mandatory in-person interview, and School B offers me the option of doing it in person or online. School B is my second "favorite" school, but their interview is the morning after School's A mandatory in-person interview (my third "favorite" school) and they only gave me that date. I've been looking at tickets but have not found one that gives me a good time frame in case something were to go wrong (ex: delayed flight). I'm very confused about what to do because school B is my second favorite program and I want to have my interview in person, but I don't want to risk not being able to make it to the interview because something went wrong with the flights. any advice would be appreciated!

I'm presuming Schools A and B aren't just a short drive from each other.

You can see how flexible either school is with a reschedule request. You have a scheduling conflict (it could be a mandatory exam for all I know). Does either school have a policy regarding reschedule requests, especially for situations you can't control (plane repair, bad weather, getting sick)?

Honestly the best approach would be to email the dental school and ask if there may be another date. I personally had to ask some of my dental schools to shift dates and they did it for me, so I believe they may make exceptions with legitimate reasons such as potential flight issues or already existing interviews.

Hello! I was also wondering about a conflicting interview date. I have a legitimate reason, but I am unsure if it would reflect poorly if I requested to reschedule. Is it common? or looked down upon? I was given one date and am very happy to attend.

Conflicts happen, and it won't be looked down upon.
