Hi,

I already registered, and I have a really nice schedule next semester. It's comprised of architecture (for fun), advanced bio lab, and 2 anthro classes. I already took most of the good bio classes outside requirements so I wasn't planning on doing more.

I can add in one more science class and get my sGPA closer to 3.6, whereas right now it would be a ~3.55 by the end ( not counting the 2 math class I took in community college in HS that I got A's in, Im not sure how many credits that was). My trend has been <3.0 freshman year to 3.8+ the last 3 years assuming I get A's my senior year. cGPA trend is similar but ~.1 higher. This is at a top 20 undergrad.

MCAT is 519 (129/128/132/130)

I kind of just want to take it easy and enjoy the classes, and then work + volunteer the rest of the time to solidify my app. But, I was looking at MSAR and got kinda freaked by the high GPAs for the OOS schools I want to apply to (mayo, NYC schools, etc), so I'm having some doubt as to if I'm making the right choice.

Thanks!! I asked a similar question before but wanted to get more advice

It might be a good idea to figure out exactly what your cGPA and sGPA would be. Here is a good GPA calculator

Thanks for the link, but what I have is already really close to what it would be. The only thing I didn't account for are the cc classes (I have to wait until I go back home to get the transcripts). So, atm I'm not that concerned with what my GPA is exactly.

IMO it would make a difference if you were going to go from a 3.55 to a 3.6+, but not just from a 3.55 to a 3.57 or something. That's why the actual GPA matters a bit. I don't think it makes a huge difference either way. Do what you want to do and realize that your sGPA isn't bad. Is your cGPA higher or lower than that?
