Confuse about when to apply??

I know everyone says to apply early even though i plan on taking my DAT in July??? But my questions are if I apply before taking DAT-

Do schools even look at my application before the DAT and if so will it ruin my chances of getting in somewhere?

If it takes time for the application to process like 4-6 weeks wouldn't it take the same time for them to get the DAT score then why not send everything at the same time????

They won't look at it until they have your scores; it will be incomplete. Taking it in July is pretty late, but I'm sure you still have a shot. You will take it July, take a couple weeks for AADSAS to verify, then couple weeks to send out the scores. So you should be set around August.

Tangent: I'm not sure why people wait until the summer of the year they are applying to take their DAT after reading the heaps of posts here about applying early and having everything set. Oh well.
