I'm really about how to advance the clock on CCS

For exam: I evaluated the patient in the ED and order albuterol and oxygen and BMP... but the only way I get the result is if I select re-evaluate case with next result.

THis is the same with outpatient setting. Is this the only way to move forward? or is there a way to advance the clock in other way.

u can also advance the clock to a specific time in the future. U can advance it by 1 hour or multiple days, whatever ud like.

When I took the test, I would typically advance it to the next available result. That gives you the opportunity to make adjustments with the results.

If its a routine screening test as an outpt in the office, I would order all the test and have the pt return in a couple days or a week. After making the appt, u can advance the clock to the date of the patient's return visit.

If ur in the ER or inpt u probably what to advance only to the next available result so u can adjust ur approach if necessary. Also, if lets say u want to advance by 5 hours, and the patient starts to deteriorate, it will stop the clock advancement and tell u the patient is worsing, and ask if u would like to conitnue with the advancement or make an adjustment in ur approach.

hope this helps
