Confused about DAT prep materials...

I was going to get the Kaplan DAT comprehensive review, but i heard it is very weak in BIO and PAT..I heard the bio section is alot on genetics, ecology, and invertebrate bio, which is lacking on the Kaplan Review..

I was thinking of maybe buying the Kaplan Trview and then supplementing it with my BIO book and get the Barron's book for the PAT..

Will this suffice??

BTW, I have the 2005 Kaplan MCAT Comprehensive review.. What are the differences between this book and the DAT prep book? Should i go and buy the Kaplan DAT book or is the MCAT book fairly similar?

if you have the mcat book I'm pretty sure its the exact same thing. i had old mcat books on gchem and ochem (from the class) and it was the same as the dat book. I'm talking exactly the same, nothing different, even the review questions are the same. go to barns and noble and compare your books

The Bio section of the MCAT is different; their is no plant stuff, ecology, or classification. Chemistry is most likely the exact same. The Kaplan DAT book is pretty weak in the classifactions and some of that stuff, so if you used another review book for those sections not on the MCAT you would most likely be OK. I would reccomed Schaum's BIO outline. Good luck 😀

Ok, thanks for the input!

So here are my plans for DAT studying:

Use Kaplan MCAT for g-chem and o-chem
Shaum's for Biology
Barron's for the PAT

But what about RC and QR...What is the relation between the MCAT RC and the DAT RC??
