Hello,

I registered for an on-line course (Biochemistry) through a separate university from where I got my BSc.

This was my first on-line course and I'm having difficulty completing it so I might just get a W instead.

I have a question about sending all transcripts to optometry school. Would it be okay if I only sent in the transcript from the university where I got my BSc and just not send in the transcript from the university where I was taking the on-line course?

I'm worried about this because I dont want optometry schools to see that I got a W/failed a course...do schools have a way of knowing what universities one has attended?....

Thanks for your help!

If you're asking whether you're supposed to report to OptomCAS all classes you've taken (and to submit all transcripts, accordingly), yes, you are. If you're asking whether you can get away with concealing parts of your academic history, I suppose the best you'll get in this thread are guesses — you'll then decide how much stock to place in those guesses, and whether you want to take the gamble.

I agree with Commando. Though isn't biochemistry a requirement for most schools? Maybe if you re-take the online biochem class and get an A it will take the place of the W?

I'm pretty sure (90%) that your SSN# is used and they are able to see all the colleges attended from your SSN#. If this is the case, it would show that you had a trascript missing and they would probably ask you to submit it.

It would be better to include it and explain why you withdrew (ie weren't used to online classes) than to NOT include it, have the school find out, and try to explain why you are trying to hide part of your academic history.
