Hello ppl,
I have received admits from Brown & NYU for MPH. Which one should I consider? Help me out plsss
I was accepted to both Brown and NYU as well (although, I applied to NYU's MPA Health Policy program, I'm guessing you applied to their MPH program).
Anyway, comparing both Brown and NYU's program, I personally feel as though Brown is stronger in many areas. The research opportunities are great, the faculty are extremely nice and available, the classes are small, the facilities are brand new, most students end up with scholarships/(partial) tuition waivers, and the students seem to love the program. The campus is lovely, also.
However, which school is best for you may be different. What area of public health are you interested in? What are your professional goals? I would look at the faculty, area specialities, and connections of each school. If you want to end up in NYC after graduation, then perhaps NYU is better.
Overall, though, it seems to me like Brown has a stronger MPH program than NYU. But again, this depends on your area of interest and goals.
