Hello,
I am really confused with regards to AADSAS requirement of transcripts from all institutions. I attended British High School and received transfer credits in 1st yr physics and calculus for undergrad in Canada. I wanted to know if I will have to order transcripts for the above courses. They are similar to IB courses except that the exams were conducted by Cambridge examination. Would I have to order transcripts from my high school then or from cambridge directly?

Thanks...any help appreciated.

If it is a course taken in a college then it has to be reported. If it is a high school course you don't need them.

I assume those are like AP classes or something. If they are on your college transcript under "transfer credit" then you're going to need a transcript. If they have their own title of some sort, then, no, you don't need to get a transcript for them.

I took a concurrent enrollment course in my high school and I had to get a transcript for it.

I was in the same situation as you and I was very unsure. The problem with ordering a copy of your Advanced Level grades (Cambridge) is that they take close to 2 months to have them sent. This is what I did...I ordered the transcript from England but since they would take so long to send it, I had my original certificate with my grades notarized from my university and sent it in. That seemed to have worked. If you're applying for the 2009 cycle, I would look into how long it takes to order a transcript from England and proceed from there. PM me if you have any other specific questions. Best of luck!

I had the same problem. I just ended up taking the course again.😛
Went to Queen's for my first year, and they wouldn't give me a credit for my A levels (even though I had A's in all of them). So, had to retake the courses, sadly. Waste of money, and time.

Ouch! You busted your butt through A-levels and Queen's gave you no credit? That sucks. Well atleast you don't have to go through the circus act of getting transcripts from England. Its a pain in the butt!

Like blankguy said, if your transcript lists the ap credited courses then you don't need the HS transcript. If it doesn't list the AP courses then you have to go to your hs and get the transcript.
Some D schools require your high school transcript anyway.
