Hello everyone,

I have just looked the DAT Change on 2015, and i was noticed the following

Eliminate
Numerical Calculation
  • Conversions
  • Geometry
  • Trigonometry

    Add:
    Data analysis
    • Interpretation and sufficiency

    • Quantitative comparison

    • Probability and statistics

However, I checked the ADA Guide 2016. The above eliminated section are listed on the Guide. Can someone confirm these changes for me? Thank you.

They decided to not make the changes they anticipated. People seem to be saying they are seeing more probability and stats, but that also might be recognition bias. The other sections (trig etc) are all still on the DAT.

Hello SoulforSeoul,

The ADA claimed it was making changes for almost 5 years and then decided not to make the changes. I will note there appears to be more probability and statistics. They may not have changed what is tested but in my opinion they have added more challenging problems.

IMO, the math is a very challenging section that students often overlook and causes a low AA score and if low enough a retake.

Just my 2 cents.

Wishing you the best in your studies and on the DAT!

Take care..Nancy
