Hi everyone. I've been on SDN for a while, but haven't really posted. I'm getting ready to apply to MPH programs and I'm really confused on what concentration I should do. I was pretty sure that I wanted to go for Global/International health, but now I'm not too sure. I want to make sure that I go for something that could be easily applied to work here in the US as well as abroad. Does anyone have any suggestions for concentrations/programs that can be used in work both in the US and abroad?

You could always try a master's international/global health in conjunction with Peace Corps. I know quite a few people participating in it and they say it translates well into both worlds but being uncertain is something you'll have to fix if you want to consider it.

Do programs let you switch or combine (I've definitely heard of students doubling up on concentrations)?

There are some schools (like the school I attended) that do not have a "major" in global/international health, but, rather, you major in something else (epi, biostats, maternal and child health, etc.) and then can have a concentration in global health.
