I am graduating the december 2012 with a biology major with a 2.4 GPA from SUNY Binghamton. I have research experience for one semester. I've done volunteering jobs at hospitals and have been a office secretary at a pediatricians office. I am starting to show interest in medicine but I know that I cannot get anywhere with a GPA like that. I have not taken my MCATs and I'm very confused about my future. help please?

what other prereqs have you taken? chem? physics?

yes ive taken all the prereqs

yes ive taken all the prereqs

Is there any trend in your GPA? We're most of the lower grades freshman year? What was your GPA in Biology?

If you really want it, I think you'll have to do an SMP program somewhere. This will give you an opportunity to show that you have a grasp of the material (better than your current GPA shows).

Right now, the downside is you took all these prereqs, and haven't done so hot. I was a social science major, and had taken no sciences (nothing in the BCPM), so my sGPA was nonexistent. All the credits I took in my postbacc went towards bringing up my GPA.

Have you calculated what your BCPM GPA is? (bio/chem/physics/math)
