hi everybody
as a FMG with scores in top 90,one abstract publication,2years of medically related job as research coordinator and physician assistance and most importnat of all GREEN CARD,
I consider myself as a serious applicant for General surgery(preliminary)and IM(categorical)
what do you think whichone does worth more
a prelim position in GS or a cat in IM
on the other hand do I have any chance in cat GS??????😕

You're USMLE score is great, and you have a green card...which is basically the same as being a citizen as far as the match goes. I'd say you have more than a good shot at a categorical surgery residency.

What do you mean: which one is worth more???
What kind of answer do you expect?

The question is: which one is worth more to YOU?
It's as simple as that.
