This is just a general question, but should I try to connect all or most of my secondaries to medicine in some way? For example, I'm currently prewriting this essay: Detail something about yourself (quality or non-academic accomplishment) that makes you extremely proud. I'm talking about how I'm proud of the quality friendships I have made and sustained throughout my life. Should I end by saying how I think this will make me a good doctor or no? I don't want to overdo it and think any adcom member will be able to connect the dots on their own, but in the same sense I don't know if they're expecting me to explicitly make that connection. I've had this question for a couple of secondaries. Thanks for any help!

I would attempt to connect this essay and most others to medicine (albeit not always directly). For example, you could describe traits that make you a good friend (loyalty, a soft ear, willingness to jump in and help in a crisis, etc.). Thereafter, you could say that you hope to bring all these traits and the others you possess to care for you patients.
