I'm wondering the level of conservativeness at New York Medical College, Saint Louis University, and Georgetown...I realize all of these are Catholic schools, and I'd like to know how much of a religious influence there is on a student's overall experience at the school. I'm not very conservative (or Catholic for that matter), and am curious if any of these schools would prove to be uncomfortable for those of us who tend to be on the liberal side.

Catholics are as conservative as JFK.

i heard nymc banned a sexual-orientation based student group. aside from that, i have no idea, but i really doubt it influences the school like at loma linda.

I know Loyola in Chicago has a big thing about "respecting life," but otherwise it’s politically neutral and secular

Georgetown doesnt like stem cells...

There are a bunch of threads about this. Many of the Christian schools do not allow certain aspects of women's health (abortion, birth control) to be taught. And sometimes the conservative nature of the schools affects the administration in other ways. If I were you, OP, I'd do a forum search on the word "religious" and find the older threads about which schools are religious and how it affects the students.
